ADVERTISING COMPETITION !
One of absolutey fabulous roleplayers suggested to me that we should have an advertising competition, and guess what? That's exactly what we're going to have! We need to get more people on this site, and we need to get more people on this site fast, like, ASAP. I hope you guys are up for the challenge because this is a really important event for the site.
WHAT DO I DO? Advertise on as many sites as you can, guys, we really need to advertise, advertise, advertise! Knowing how many roleplay sites are happening around the internet, you will not run out of sites to advertise on, so there is absolutely no excuse as to why you are not able to advertise! Everyone will be able to advertise, and we expect everyone to do so. If you do not, congratulations, you're lazy! No, seriously. That's not a good thing.
I ADVERTISED; NOW WHAT? You've only advertised on one site? Advertise on more! Advertise everyday, people, because the internet never, never runs out of roleplay sites to advertise on. But anyway. When you've advertised, what we'd like you to do is to keep track of the name of that site. Keep the URL to the site and the URL to the advertisement in, a) a notepad, or b) your laptop/computer favourites, and wait around for the end of this competition (which is mentioned further down) to come around. When the end of the competition finally comes, we want you send in the URL's to " BARBIE ! LIKES CRAYONS ! " and she will count the total of advertisements.
I CHEATED. WHAT HAPPENS NOW? What is unfortunate for you is fortunate for us. We will be able to know if you have cheated because, well, we're asking you to send in the URL's of the site and the thread with the advertisement on. But alas, there is another way of cheating! If you go on a site and find that there is already an advertisement on there, leave it alone. Do not take credit for that advertisement, otherwise, we'll know that you've cheated because there will be two of the same URLs'. GASP! Unfortunatly we have no way of telling who the advertisement belongs to, so we will not be able to disqualify you from the compeition. We will just not count that URL, for the both of you.
WOO, I WON! WHAT DO I WIN? You are one lucky roleplayer, you know that? You get to become a moderator! Unfortunately for some, well, the winner may not be the best choice of moderator to have on a site and are only doing this so they can become apart of the lil' staff (we're the big staff, y'see!). So, just in case this happens, well... we'll just have to live with it, won't we? There's nothing much we can do about it, really, so all we can say is, if you mess up the site or are so lazy you allow the rulebreakers to do their business, you will immediately be butted off the squad and there'll be no going back!
I LOST. WHAT NOW? Well, you gave it your all, your best shot, and unfortunately, you didn't get quite enough to beat the winner. We all know what a loser is, so there's no need to tell you that the losers are going to get absolutely nothing! ... Oh wait, I just told you. Anyway. Please don't be a sore loser and complain about who the winner is! Deal with it; no one likes a sore loser.
Now you now what we want you to do, all you need to know now is when the competition starts and when the competition ends. Here they are:
STARTING DATE: Right now (TWENTY-SIXTH OF OCTOBER)! Go, go, go, advertise, advertise, advertise. Oh, wait, hold on a second, read the ending date first!
ENDING DATE: This competition ends on the FIRST OF DECEMBER! Yes, in 2010, when else? This should give you enough time to do your advertising. In fact, it should give you plenty of time.
We have no idea why you're still reading this, you should be out there, right now, in the world of internet, and you should be advertising on many, many, many sites! Just one last piece of advice before you go though: don't forget to post in your threads whilst you advertise on sites! It's no good if you spend all of your time advertising and none roleplaying. That's what you're here to do, right? Right! So please make time for both and not just one.
